In many ways, musical theatre is the ultimate collaboration opportunity for theatre artists, requiring the director to accurately portray their vision to the cast, designers, musical director, musicians, stage managers, and stage crew as they work together to fulfil it.
Students granted entrance to Level One of WCSPA are guaranteed casting in the Level One musical and will work with the director, choreographer, and music director to prepare for their audition and performance.
In the Upper Levels, musical theatre opportunities include competing at the Michigan Thespian Festival, performing in a cabaret-style musical revue, or joining the cast of a fully produced musical. Casting in the upper levels is awarded by audition only and a role is not guaranteed.
